Position: Senior Fraud Investigator

Location: McLean, VA

 

Job Description:

Detect, investigate and resolve institutional fraud cases involving customers of the corporation.  Coordinate with various internal departments

(Legal, Sales, Servicer), and external parties (law enforcement, Seller/Servicer) to identify new fraud cases and plan course of action for case 

investigation, resolution and recovery.  Conduct seminars and workshops for internal and external customers.  Job requires a Bachelor degree 

in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable 

knowledge and skills may be acquired; and three years experience in a financial services or mortgage banking institution performing investigative work. 

Additional Specifications:

Must be able to travel, occasionally with little or no advance notice.  Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently with 

minimal direction.  Creative problem solving required.   Must demonstrate expertise with Excel, Access and fraud investigation databases. 

This job requires extensive report writing.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to write complex investigative reports.

Requirements:
2+ to 5 years of mortgage fraud experience, a must!

Education - Bachelor's Degree Preferred, but not required
Willingness to Travel - Occasionally
